Great postnatal PT sessions!

I usually attend a bootcamp run by Richard which I really enjoy but recently did a block of PT sessions with him to build my fitness back up after having a baby. The sessions were great - varied and tailored to my fitness level. Richard is very knowledgeable about pre and post natal exercise and our sessions were carefully planned with this in mind. I now can't wait to get back to the bootcamps! Thank you Richard.

A top PT

I had fallen out of exercise for many years and felt quite nervous about starting training again as my fitness was so poor. Rich immediately made me feel comfortable and over the last 6 months has helped me achieve my goal - to get fit again and feel energised. I have been having 1-2-1s with him for about 6 months and his encouraging style and varied sessions have kept me motivated. Recently I've suffered from back problems and his knowledge and tailored sessions are helping me make big improvements. Highly recommended!

Excellent all round training

I really enjoy training with Richard. He ensures that you get a thorough, all round body work out, and also listens to what you want to achieve. Sessions are tailored for you individually and planned to meet your needs. He pushes you hard, but in a nice way so that you feel motivated and encouraged. I also like the mix of exercises and how you can see progress each week. I highly recommend!


Can't argue with results

Been working with Richard, once a week, for the past 3 months. In that time, I've gone from a 36 waist to a 32 and shaved MINUTES off my personal bests in the 5k, 10k and over 8 miles, even though we haven't done any targeted running training. Richard is a tremendous trainer. He finds the right balance between fun and tough in his training sessions. He's always willing to work within my schedule and an encouraging, friendly face. Huge thanks to Richard for all he's done.

Great, varied exercises

Richard's very good at providing a rich mix of exercises in his classes, and as such I really enjoyed his postnatal sessions. Never dull and different every week, he offers a great mix of different options for everyone to keep things interesting and fast paced. He's very knowledgable and tailored sessions to meet everyone's fitness needs; he is very good on post-natal fitness indeed. Would highly recommend.


Great Classes

I started post natal classes with Richard when my son was about three months. They were an excellent way to get back to exercising, with other mums. Richard tailored each class to our fitness levels, pushing us, and increasing our stamina and strength week by week. I would fully recommend classes with Richard to any new mum, whether wanting to return to exercise, or taking it on for the first time.


Fun & flexible sessions with a friendly approach

Richard runs one hour sessions each Monday and Friday which I attended during the end of summer in Queens Park near the band stand. It was ideal as a few my NCT friends and I went along and we could bring the pram for our babies to 'sleep' in. Richard typically runs a circuit, and would vary the repetitions etc for each new mum according to fitness levels. Richard has a lovely approach and is very relaxed (although still professional) and if the wee ones are upset we simply incorporate them into the exercise routine for a cuddle (for example, I was doing squats holding my daughter instead of a weight at one point!). It was great to get out during the day, and have a bit of a run about and see other mums in the area. Overall Richard is very patient, knowledgeable about post natal exercise and flexible - if anyone turned up late or had to leave it was never a problem and he was very good at sending through information on email regarding getting back into fitness while breastfeeding. I would recommend Richard to new mums or groups of new mums in the area - a very welcoming and safe environment to build up your confidence in a fun and relaxed manner.

I have recently opted into the fitness formula with Richard Lamb and felt compelled to leave a review as his ethics towards fitness and tailoring this to the individual have been very rewarding. I would recommend Richard Lamb as a personal trainer to anyone that wants a professional to help them achieve their goals without hesitation
